A heritage of growing community
Memorial Park Community Kindergarten Assn Inc was established in 1959 adjacent to the Maroochydore RSL.
We relocated in 2000 to our current site in the heart of Cotton Tree comfortably sheltered in charming, leafy gardens.
Our open and vibrant classrooms provide ample space and create a setting where children feel relaxed and welcome to learn and grow. Because we have two classrooms we are able to provide a choice of class times and we have the benefit of the increased diversity and experience that comes with a larger teaching team.
The Centre elects its own management committee of parent volunteers who meet at regular intervals to discuss and contribute to decisions affecting their children’s education needs and to support the centre’s operation.
As with all affiliated Kindergartens we are licensed to operate by and are required to satisfy the Child Care Act 2002 and Child Care Regulations 2003.
Our service complies with the Act and Regulations including:
- Requirements about activities
- Experiences and programs
- The number of staff members and children
- Staff qualifications (106A)
We are affiliated with Lady Gowrie Queensland, who act as our Central Governing Body (CGB). Their role is to administer our funding from the Department of Education and Training and to offer support and advice for staff and committee members.
